Really enjoyed my latte with banana milk. A unique option I haven't seen anywhere else. The open faced egg salad sandwich was the perfect portion for a light lunch. Friendly staff!

It’s worth your salt to visit Cuppa Joe Westside. It’s the kind of coffee shop every neighborhood wishes it had, but few do. Like every decent eatin’ place in town, it's about more than the food and drink. It’s the experience. The coffee is rich and smooth. That’s as opposed to the shops whose coffee is so brewed-for-the-masses, it tastes like they put a brown crayon in a cup of hot water. The scones are far and away the best in town. And the staff is down-to-earth amiable. Try this classic combo if you dare: a sixteen-ounce shot-in-the-dark with no space, and an Almond Joy scone. If you need less octane, have a regular coffee. If you don’t care for coconut, try a blueberry scone. Or have a day-old scone. They’re flavorful, only slightly drier than a fresh scone, and cost less. That’s appealing if you’re so cheap that you’d steal the pennies off a dead man’s eyes.

Probably one of the best iced mochas around! The chicken pesto sandwich was great and the breakfast burrito was yummy. Only issue is that one of the staff members was not as good as the other staff at the time. The staff member who took our order didn’t get it put in correctly, which we shrugged off initially. Later, we asked for a refill of water and the same staff member said that they “could” give us a refill, but that there is a water fountain in the hallway… weird experience with that employee. Oh well, the rest of the experience was decent.

Ok, I already raves to the staff directly but they need a standing ovation here!!! I have stopped before and already enjoyed their great coffee. This week I stopped in hoping to also grab some brunch with a friend. We had tried several places recommended to us who were all booked up due to need for a "Covid reservation". When we got to Cuppa Joe, the employees were kind, happy to see us and more than happy to help however they could. Their entire demeanor made our day as many of our Traverse City stops were less than enthusiastic for opening "tourist" season, but Cuppa Joe was the complete opposite. Our food was AMAZING. Do not underestimate what they have to offer because they are a "small business". My friend got their BLT, I got the open faced Egg Salad Sandwich. We went half on each to give them both a try. The BLT was made with Sun dried tomatoes and I can't believe I have never done this myself! So so so good. The egg salad not only floored us on flavor but we could not believe how such a basic sandwich had been SO elevated in flavor! We agreed it was our favorite!
